2021 QFHSA Fall Conference
The QFHSA’s Fall Conference was held online on ZOOM once again this year. For four evenings in November, we were treated to lively, thought-provoking presentations. A huge thank-you to this year’s wonderful presenters:
- Maggie Soldano, Director of Continuing Education at the Lester B. Pearson School Board. Ms. Soldano shared her enthusiasm for and knowledge of Vocational Education options in Quebec.
- From the LEARN non-profit organization: Debbie Horrocks, Director of the Provincial Resource Team; Christine Truesdale, Director of Pedagogical Services and Educational Technology; and Dianne Conrad, Director of the Virtual Campus. It was a true team effort to explore the many Resources Available from LEARN to support students, parents, and school/school board staff.
- Terry Cutler, the CEO of Cyology Labs and author of Insider Secrets to Internet Safety: Advice from a Professional Hacker. Mr. Cutler’s information-packed workshop provided valuable tips on Protecting Ourselves Online.
- Karen Delage, Family Life Educator of ParenTeenFocus. Ms. Delage helped us to Understand Interpersonal Conflict Styles through an exploration of the pros and cons of the five specific ways people respond and engage with conflict.
Thank you as well to everyone who joined us for the workshops! We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s event.
